Having successfully turned the world on with the 110-minute smile that is Cop Out, it looks as though Bruce Willis will once again be training his crinkly eye on another batch of terrorists in a fifth Die Hard, as Fox is currently in negotiations with screenwriter Skip Woods to write a new script for the franchise. Woods has already done several tentpole projects for the studio—including X-Men Origins: Wolverine and this summer's The A-Team—and previously built his reputation for big-bang actioners with Swordfish and Hitman. Ain't It Cool News has just posted the new trailer for Machete, Robert Rodriguez's thoughtful dialectic on the state of modern immigration law. Issued out of the side of Danny Trejo's clenched mouth with a "Happy Cinco De Mayo" message that's aimed squarely at Arizona, it offers everything you can expect from the upcoming Grindhouse spin-off, including Robert De Niro barely even trying a Texas accent (which is fine, really), Lindsay Lohan dressed as a nun, Jeff Fahey squinting, Michelle Rodriguez maybe-flirting with Jessica Alba, and multiple shots of people like Cheech Marin cocking shotguns. Hot on the heels of the news that Chris "Johnny Storm" Evans is jumping from the Fantastic Four franchise to play Captain America in the upcoming Marvel film Captain America: The First Avenger (and, presumably, the Avengers movie that's to follow), Coming Soon reports that Hugo Weaving has been cast as the Cap's hideous Nazi nemesis, The Red Skull. Weaving, of course, is already beloved by fanboys as The Matrix's Agent Smith, The Lord Of The Rings' Elrond, and V For Vendetta's V. The movie is scheduled for release on July 22, 2011.
