After several weeks of hemming and hawing, Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn has been confirmed to helm X-Men: First Class in time for a June 3, 2011 release—officially taking the reins from producer Bryan Singer, who was forced to step down from de-Ratnerizing the franchise once his commitment to Jack The Giant Killer got in the way.
